By Eleanor McGillie

A LEADING renewable energy developer is teaming up with a Northern Ireland retailer to show its support for local business while building a brighter and greener future for all of their customers.

Amber Green Solar, a subsidiary company of Amber Green Energy, is joining forces with Menarys & Tempest to offer its customers across Northern Ireland the opportunity to pick up £100 worth of Menarys vouchers as a reward for referring a friend or neighbour who purchases an Amber Green Solar system.

Menarys & Tempest is a household name for shopping in Northern Ireland for womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, lingerie, handbags, accessories, cookshop, household, electrics and cosmetics. The company employs over 1,000 people at branches in towns centres and out of town shopping outlets across Northern Ireland.

Dwyer O’Neill, chief executive of Amber Green Energy, said Amber Green Solar is delighted to be teaming up with such a reputable, independent household name.

He said: “Amber Green is passionate about supporting local enterprise, creating and sustaining jobs and building on our economy. By working with local companies such as Menarys & Tempest, we are all helping to build a brighter and greener future.

“Our customers have personally made a positive contribution to Northern Ireland’s goals of energy self sufficiency and reduced carbon emissions as well as making a very good investment for themselves and their families.

“We have written to all of our customers to inform them of this reward scheme and we are looking forward to saying thank you with £100 Menarys vouchers.”

Stephen McCammon, director of Menarys & Tempest, said the company is delighted to support Amber Green Solar in its initiative.

He said: “Menarys & Tempest is a green conscious company and we have worked in conjunction with the Carbon Trust who have carried out audits of all of our stores across Northern Ireland.

“We use low energy lighting in all of our stores and we recycle all of our plastic and cardboard and we are always prepared to explore other initiatives which will drive down our energy costs so we too can contribute to a greener future for Northern Ireland.

“Menarys & Tempest will be delighted to welcome Amber Green Solar customers at any of our branches.”
