SkunkWorks Surf Co work with Jaguar Land Rover to launch surfboard

SkunkWorks Surf Co which manufactures 100 per cent recyclable surfboards have taken their work to a whole new level by working with Jaguar Land Rover in its ‘Waste To Wave’ project.

They are working with Jaguar Land Rover to recycle plastic foam from early vehicle design models to give them a second life in the form of surfboards. Lucy Campbell was invited to get behind the wheel of a Discovery Sport before putting the concept through its paces at Whiterocks Beach, Northern Ireland.

One of Ireland’s leading Irish craft cider producers has won a National Trust Fine Farm Food Award for its Traditional Dry Cider and Medium Cider.

The award was announced on BBC’s Countryfile Live event at Blenheim Palace. The awards celebrate the very best produce from the Trust’s 1,500 tenant farmers and estates. Producers participating look after more than 500,000 acres of grazed pasture, orchards and arable farmland across the UK. Have a read here;

Economy Minister Simon Hamilton has announced ten businesses, two of which are new investors are to create 100 new jobs in the North West an investment of over £5.6million in the local economy. Speaking at Invest Northern Ireland’s Timber Quay offices the Minister said: “This multi million investment by indigenous businesses and UK investors is positive news for Londonderry. FAST Technologies is an innovative solutions focused company providing collaborative robotics, automation and software solutions for SMEs and large bluechip companies.

Emerson’s Foundation funding to be granted for vital community life lines

The Emerson’s Foundation is an organisation set up by Emerson’s Supermarket and Uluru Bar & Grill to help transform the local communities.

NI races for pink again as 150 elite cyclists prepare for the Tour of Ulster

The countdown is on as 150 elite cyclists prepare to travel to Northern Ireland to take part in this year’s Tour of Ulster.

The race around Ulster’s roads, from Belfast to Newry, through Armagh and finishing in Cookstown, is Ireland’s longest established road race.
