Independent supermarket takes the lead to support struggling dairy farmers

A family run independent supermarket is leading the way in offering practical support to dairy farmers struggling during the current crisis.

Emerson’s Supermarket in Armagh will donate 10p to Rural Support for every two litres of Dale Farm milk bought in store. The move has been welcomed by Ian Marshall, President of the Ulster Farmers’ Union and by Jude McCann from Cookstown based Rural Support which offers a support service to farming families. Post Office announce opening date of new facility at Emersons supermarket

Earlier this year Post Office Ltd announced its decision to relocate to Emerson’s supermarket which is undergoing a £2million refurbishment.

The Post Office has today released a statement about the opening of the facility in Emerson’s supermarket. The modernisation is part of a major Government investment programme that is enabling Post Office Ltd to continue investing in the network and to map out a growth strategy.
