Emersons to house Post Office and restaurant as part of £2M high street investment

Emersons – the family run supermarket which has been serving families in Armagh for 125 years is delivering a £2million investment in the high street.

The supermarket will house the Post Office and a restaurant which will breathe new life back into the city’s historic marketplace.

The redevelopment is expected to be completed by the end of November and will secure up to 150 jobs.

Markethill High School praised by Education Minister as school of ‘very good practice’

Markethill High School is one of 11 schools in Northern Ireland which has successfully broken the link between social disadvantage and educational attainment.

The school’s principal, James Maxwell, joined the Education Minister John O’Dowd at a special reception in Newry for the 11 schools highlighted as examples of good practice in an Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI). The recognition by the Minister reflects the hard work carried out.

Amber Green celebrates solar as customers produce 1.5 megawatts of renewable power
