AmberGreen Energy tackles soaring heating bills with the launch of biomass boiler range

By Eleanor McGillie

AMBER Green Energy has launched a sustainable heating solution for homeowners in Northern Ireland which will allow bill payers to take control of their domestic and commercial heating bills.

Amber Green says its range of ‘AmberGlow’ wood pellet boilers gives consumers greater control by delivering a sustainable heating solution without reliance on volatile energy markets.

Latest figures from the House Condition Survey carried out by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) show that 42 per cent of all households in Northern Ireland are living in fuel poverty which means 294,240 households are paying 10 per cent or more of their income on energy costs annually.

Between 2009 and 2012, the average annual price of home heating oil increased by 62 per cent whereas gas bills in the Greater Belfast area have risen by 38 per cent between April 1,2009 and April 1, 2013.

Dwyer O’Neill, chief executive of Amber Green Energy, said the launch of AmberGlow has been accelerated by the long and harsh winter last year and said people in Northern Ireland need to have options.

Mr O’Neill said: “AmberGlow gives bill payers a heating solution which is affordable, reliable and sustainable. The number of households in Northern Ireland tortured by escalating energy costs is staggering and needs to be addressed.

“The AmberGlow systems allow people to heat their homes for under 50 per cent of traditional heating systems and, with grants of £2,500 now available for home installations, it offers consumers with a very real solution to home heating. Furthermore, AmberGlow systems are Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) compatible and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) compatible for businesses.

“AmberGlow gives people control so when oil, gas and electricity companies continue to announce price hikes our customers know they are not at the hands of volatile energy markets but are instead warmed by the fact they are heating their homes and businesses efficiently, from sustainable sources and at a lower cost “.

The AmberGlow range come in a full range of sizes and caters not just for domestic, but also commercial businesses, large and small. The boiler technology is well proven with over one million installations across Europe, and AmberGlow has achieved high heating efficiencies of up to 96 per cent which is comparable with traditional oil boilers. AmberGlow uses wood/biomass pellets which are readily available on the local market.

The team at Amber Green Heat are now taking orders for the AmberGlow range. For further detail call 08001 22 3838 or visit www.ambergreenheat.co.uk or email info@ambergreenheat.co.uk
