Dean Coppard, chef at Uluru Bar&Grill used today to make a very special announcement to customers.

The restaurant, which was due to shut its doors at its current location, will now be staying open for one more month before it moves to its new location at Emersons. The support services team will be donating food parcels and toys to families who are struggling this Christmas with food and presents for children. Mairead Mackle, chief executive of Homecare Independent Living said this is “the right thing to do” for the community.

Principal expresses confidence in imminent SELB decisions over post-16 education

For over two years Markethill High School have been campaigning for a new build school and sixth form provision.

At the school’s recent prize night the chairman of the Board of Governors told the audience of parents, pupils and stakeholders that he and the staff are confident the SELB will reach the right decision for the development of post-16 education for the non-selective Controlled Sector in the Markethill area.

Collie Johnston, 35, wanted to propose to his girlfriend at this year’s Santa’s Gatelodge. But when he couldn’t get any tickets he had to turn to Santa Claus for a little bit of help. So Santa had to pull a few magical strings and managed to get an entire team of people to play cupid so Collie could propose to his girlfriend Debbie.

Co Couture entered its Japanese Cherry Sencha bar into The International Chocolate Awards Finals 2014 which attracted over 950 fine chocolate products from across the globe. The judging panel, made up of experts, food journalists, bloggers, chefs, sommeliers and pastry chefs, awarded silver to Co Couture.
