Brand journalism agency looks forward to the stories of NI’s Top 20 Inspiring Women

Brand journalism agency, MGMPR Ltd, is the sponsor for a new feature which celebrates inspiring business women. Director Eleanor McGillie says every day women prove to be unhindered by hard work so it’s time to celebrate achievements.

Northern Ireland’s Top 20 Most Inspiring Women is a new feature for Business First magazine and we are sensing it won’t be the last.

It’s a new feature which celebrates women and the work women do. Sponsored by MGMPR Ltd, we asked readers to nominate someone who you think has a good story to share, a story which will inspire and a story which will excite.

And what a response we have had. The public cast 10,910 votes for the 66 women nominated.

This has been such an exciting feature and, judging by the list of nominated women, we think it will be a tough call because every woman voted for, no matter what their role, has been voted as inspirational by their colleagues and the public.

Everyone in the workplace deserves to have role models and also be role models. It’s good to have someone to look up to and learn from – someone who inspires us to continue to strive to be better and gain new skills which will enhance our own careers and positively impact on business performance.

We might be operating in a relatively small region compared to our UK counterparts but the businesses operating in Northern Ireland are achieving great things and work hard to compete in a global and national marketplace.

It doesn’t matter what sector we are in because we all have our own strengths, skills, weaknesses and ambitions.

The 66 women nominated in Northern Ireland’s 20 Most Inspiring Women work in public and private sector led organizations.

This feature actively places women at the forefront to highlight their contributions and the inspirational impact they make.

Business First has provided this platform as an opportunity for inspirational women to tell their stories, share experiences, inspire the next generation of creative thinkers, showcase disruptive innovation and celebrate achievements.

The feature has already created lots of conversations, brought women together from different sectors and promotes how women are all working on the same side and in the same direction.

Everyone has a different story to share and, having worked for over 20 years as a junior journalist, senior journalist, assistant news editor, deputy news editor, news editor and editor, I know too well how hard we work to climb the career ladder.

Northern Ireland’s 20 Most Inspiring Women recognises the phenomenal talent which exists in our business community.

This is an opportunity to celebrate women who are doing great things in the world of business and who are deemed inspirational by their colleagues, customers and peers.

Both Gavin Walker and I are looking forward to hosting these hardworking and innovative professionals at our special awards lunch next month.

There are no limits as to what we can achieve. We are all full of ambition and unhindered by hard work while juggling our professional lives with our personal lives.

We look forward to hearing your stories which will no doubt inspire, educate and inform.
