A Tyrone chef beats off stiff competition to get through to the quarter finals of the BBC’s Masterchef as the competition from other chefs proves fierce.

James Devine, who is the head chef at Black Cat Traditional Restaurant, says he never focuses on style or trends above substance and combines methods of creating clean and simple dishes with his expertise gained while working in 3Michelin star restaurants in London.
