Teachers' strike - INTO members will be striking on Wednesday moring for a half day strike action following the results of a ballot before Christmas.

INTO to tell Minister that lack of budget is ‘an unacceptable ransom’ on education

INTO is Ireland’s largest teachers’ union. On Friday, over 200 delegates will be in Limavady for the annual Northern Conference.

John O’Dowd, Minister for Education, is the guest speaker during the public session but he will be hearing from Gerry Murphy, the Northern secretary, who will tell the Minister that lack of budget is ‘an unacceptable ransom’ on education. INTO has started a ballot of its members.
