Armagh in top nine tourism destinations as harvest fayre crowned a huge success

Terence Brannigan has described Co Armagh as one of nine key designated visitor destinations in Northern Ireland and said he was proud to stand side by side with the people of the Orchard County at this year’s Richhill Apple Harvest Fayre.

The Tourism NI chairman, was guest speaker at this year’s fayre, which celebrates the end of the harvest and showcases what County Armagh food and drink producers have to offer. The Fayre is an authentic celebration which connects us with our land.

Uluru team are overjoyed as restaurant receives Michelin Guide approval

Uluru Bar & Grill has received notification it is recommended in the Michelin Guide 2015, The McKenna’s Guide and is eligible for the Good Food Award.

Dean Coppard, of Uluru Bar & Grill says the recommendations are testament to the hard work put in by the team, the authenticity of cooking, attention to customer service and the team’s drive to give people an eating establishment which offers customers a great dining experience.

NITB chief praises apple harvest fayre as an event which connects us to our land

This weekend the people of Armagh and beyond will celebrate the Bramley Apple at a brand new fayre in the heart of the orchard county.

We interviewed Dr Howard Hastings OBE, chairman of NITB, who has praised the organisers for making such an event happen. The fayre is being sponsored by Irwin’s Bakery, Gilfresh and Wilsons Country. The event features cookery demonstrations and much more.

New harvest fayre is launched to celebrate the big apple in County Armagh’s eye

The village of Richhill in County Armagh will be celebrating the Armagh Bramley Apple as it prepares to host its first ever Apple Harvest Fayre.

Helping to launch the Richhill Apple Harvest Fayre is Helen Troughton of Armagh Cider Company and Hamilton Loney, chairman of the NI Fruit Growers Association, who say this year is a great year for growing fruit in the orchard county. The event if free and runs from 10am-6pm.
