Daughter’s love for mum shines as cherry blossom tree iCare Wish comes true

Every quarter, the iCare charity asks people in the community to nominate someone who they would like to grant a wish to.

The charity, set up by Homecare Independent Living in 2010 and which is run by a team of volunteers, grants wishes to people who are in need. The next round of nominations is now open but entries close on October 31.

Significant £2M investment paves the way for better home care solutions

The chief executive of Homecare Independent Living, Mairead Mackle, officially opened new offices in Sligo to an audience of carers, stakeholders and members of the public.

The company, which employs 1,200 people, took the opportunity to tell stakeholders about a recent announcement of a £2million investment in technology and the creation of new jobs.
