Canapes and cocktails at Uluru before corporate screening of 007 Spectre

By Eleanor McGillie

ARMAGH’s historic city centre was more like the streets of London recently as over 100 glamorous guests of Donnelly Land Rover met up in Uluru Bar & Grill before stepping on the red carpet for a special private screening of Spectre.

Parked up outside the award winning restaurant was the Range Rover Sport SVR, the Land Rover Defender SVX Big Foot and the all new Discovery Sport – a range of high performance vehicles which Spectre fans saw in the knuckle clenching high speed chases in Austria and London in the 2015 box office blockbuster.

The guests, all of which were customers of the Group’s Land Rover business in Dungannon, attended the screening at the Armagh Omniplex to celebrate the launch of the 2016 Model Year line up and the leading role Land Rover vehicles play in the movie.

With a range of canapés and Spectre themed cocktails, tailor made by the team at Uluru Bar & Grill, the fine display of vehicles certainly captured the attention of people in the heart of Armagh.

Dean Coppard, Head Chef at Uluru Bar & Grill, said the team planned a special array of food and drinks to set the scene for the guests before seeing Spectre which entered the weekend banking $350 million worldwide.

Speaking about the event, Dean said: “Uluru Upstairs is in a prime location for companies to entertain their clients. This special screening of Spectre was a fantastic opportunity for Donnelly Land Rover to interact with their customers in a special location with views of the fine display of magnificent vehicles.

“Further to that, it was fantastic to see such glamour in the heart of Armagh and I applaud my team for putting on a fantastic corporate event of canapés and cocktails.

“Upstairs @ Uluru is becoming a hub for businesses who require a city centre location primed for wining and dining their special guests no matter what the occasion.”

The Donnelly Group’s Executive Chairman, Terence Donnelly, said:  “The 007 event was a fantastic opportunity for us to re-engage and interact with our customers, many of whom have been loyal to Donnelly Land Rover for several generations and treat them to a really special and glamorous evening.

“We’re always delighted to host events such as this which allow us to get to know our customers even better.”
