Emersons to house Post Office and restaurant as part of £2M high street investment

Emersons – the family run supermarket which has been serving families in Armagh for 125 years is delivering a £2million investment in the high street.

The supermarket will house the Post Office and a restaurant which will breathe new life back into the city’s historic marketplace.

The redevelopment is expected to be completed by the end of November and will secure up to 150 jobs.

It’s half way time for Stephane and Peter as running men head to the Isle of Man

Rick Stein’s Head Chef, Stephane Delourme and owner of Worldwide Financial Planning began their Celtic 7 Marathon Challenge a few months ago in Belfast.

The pair have since raised approximately £20,000 for charity. Stephane and Peter’s efforts have featured in several media outlets as they reach the half way mark.

Brave little Avah granted wish as iCare charity sends family on beach holiday

The charity iCare, which raises thousands of pounds every year to help people in need, have granted an iCare Wish to this brave toddler – Avah McGinty.

Avah suffers from Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus so iCare, the charity set up by Homecare Independent Living, granted her an iCare Wish which meant she and her family could go on holiday this year.

Two down, five to go, as running men Stephane and Peter head to Wales

The Celtic 7 Marathon Challenge has got off to a great start as the two runners, Peter McGahan and Stephane Delourme head for Wales following their success in Brittany.

Stephane, who is head chef at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant in Padstow in Cornwall, and Peter, owner of Worldwide Financial Planning, are raising money for three children’s charities.

The charity, set up by Homecare Independent Living in 2010 and which is run by a team of volunteers, grants wishes to people who are in need. The next round of nominations is now open but entries close on October 31.
