The orchards at Armagh Apple Farm near Portadown have been producing cider in Northern Ireland for 10 years now by Armagh Cider Company.

This year, Armagh Cider Company entered the cider into a class competition at the UK’s largest agricultural show – the Bath & West Show held in Shepton Mallet which is in the heart of Westcountry cider region. The Troughton family are delighted to have scooped the Gold Award and have been commended by Anthony Gibson OBE.

New Emersons store to get Australian twist as Uluru announce relocation

Uluru Bar & Grill, based in the centre of Armagh city, is to relocate to the new look Emerson’s store which is expected to open later this year. The village of Richhill in County Armagh will be celebrating the Armagh Bramley Apple as it prepares to host its first ever Apple Harvest Fayre.

Helping to launch the Richhill Apple Harvest Fayre is Helen Troughton of Armagh Cider Company and Hamilton Loney, chairman of the NI Fruit Growers Association, who say this year is a great year for growing fruit in the orchard county. The event if free and runs from 10am-6pm.
